I bought this the Steel Grab Rail 460mm as I was looking for a very sturdy handle to mount at the top of a set of stairs. It is a very, very solid and simple formed steel tube construction, with no welds or joins to give weak points, which also means that it is very smooth and easy to grab, with no sharp corners or edges to catch. The paint finish is good - smooth and so far, tough and chip resistant.

The grab rail was easy to fit outside my mother-in-law's front door and makes her feel so much safer after a previous fall outside.
