Believe me I've tried many trays. I want to have one hand free for doors and stairs because conventional two handers are for cafes not homes. This one is very well designed and the balance is just right. I feel confident now. Please note that you will need a non slip mat as well otherwise the smooth surface will allow things to slide. I suggest a silicone mat .
