I previously had a padded toilet seat which was attached with straps but the straps became soiled. This type of padded seat has no straps and is much more hygienic (easy to clean). I did wonder how secure it would be with no straps because it just slots into the original seat. Having used it several times now I feel completely safe and the padded seat does not wobble or move around. I am very pleased with this padded seat and will not be going back to the old style. I am pleased I bought it.
