My wife used to be able to transfer to her wheelchair using a walking frame but is now too weak to do so. She had not been out of bed for 3 months but this hoist has enabled her to become mobile again. Being the compact version it needs a bit of careful manoeuvring to avoid hurting her knees on the mast but a bigger version would not fold small enough to fit in the car along with the wheelchair.
