I suffer with hypermobilty and I have found the caring cutlery set invaluable.
Essential Aids
The handycup has worked successfully so far. It is a pity extra lids aren't available.
The permanent user crutches s are very good in many ways: Strong, quieter than two-piece adjustable crutches and although the moulded grips are comfortable they can be rather frustrating when you grab the left hand crutch with your right hand - it doesn't fit! I've got used to that now though. I'd rate them at 41/2 out of 5.
The Cordless Electric Mini Kettle was a gift for my 90 year old sister because I was so delighted with one I purchased earlier. I would give this a rating of 4 out of 5 because it's light and easy to use.
The folder away grab rails are good. We were able to buy with a purchase order. Customer service good delivery good.
We purchased this EZ Adjustable Bed Rail With Pouch for my father and he is very pleased with it as it gives him a sense of security, as he had rolled out of bed on two occasions. The only slight problem was that he found it difficult to lean over and pull the rail up once he was on the bed. He solved this by attaching a length of string to the rail with which he can pull it into place. It seems a well-designed product which suits its purpose very well.
I would rate the economy shower stool - rated 4 out of 5 - great aid for the shower, would be nice if it had drainage holes in the seat, although I've coped just fine without them.
The Cosby bath seat is most useful and the rating I would give is 4/5.
The Harley Gentle Forme Support Belt is a good product giving good support and pain relief whilst recovering from a broken back.
The two key turner is a good product. Your service was prompt, competitive and efficient. I would give you 4.99 out of 5 - nothing is perfect.
The ripple mattress topper made my hard mattress a little bit more comfortable to sleep on, for which I am grateful. I really need a softer mattress, but in view of the expense, this is a good alternative.
The protecto-a-bed mattress and pillow protectors are very comfortable and I would recommend them.
The folding table valet is also used daily and serves its purpose. It folds neatly away and is easy to keep clean.
I bought the Shower/Bath Cast Protector for my mum who suffers from foot infections caused by her chronic arthritis. She is very happy as it now enables her to start using the shower again due to now being able to keep the dressing and wound dry. I would rate the product 4/5 - loses a point as the seal has lost a little bit of stretchiness.
I give the Merlin Bath Board 4.5/5. Good sturdy product that my husband trusted to take his weight and not topple. Only drawback is that eventually moisture seeps in (via the screw holes maybe?) and the internal wooden slats rot. This was a replacement for one (exact same) we'd had in continuous use for 2 years. The merlin bath board "lived" in the bath/shower so got wet everyday. Will replace with same product when this reaches end of life.
The swedish trolley is useful and stable to walk with. 4 out of 5.
My osteopath recommended the overball to me for my back problem so I use it at work, between my back and the back of the chair, to make me sit properly. She also suggested that I use the overball for back exercises on the floor and it does help.
The rotary cushion helps get in and out a car. It works well and I find it comfortable, even on quite long journeys. 90% - 41/2 out of 5.
The economy stick seat was very well-made and would provide a solid seat in the right situation.
The clear drinking cups we ordered are super for my mum. Will be back to buy some more.
