My soft grip comfort handle crutches have been a life saver - 10 out of 10! I broke my wrist a few years ago and when I tried out some ordinary crutches before my ankle operation, I found it very uncomfortable. Being non-weight bearing for 6 weeks after the operation put a lot of pressure on the weakened wrist. However having discovered the wonderful soft grip comfort handle crutches just made the whole uncomfortable, scary and inconvenient experience more bearable. Loved the red colour too. I would rate this product 5 out of 5. I was thrilled to find it on the internet as I had one like it years ago, but without the rubber edges. This one is better as it does not damage the lid of the jar whilst maintaining a fast grip. I have arthritis in my hands so not strong enough to open some jars. This wonderful gadget hides on the base of an overhanging kitchen cabinet, where it is screwed on tight and if I need to open a stubborn jar I simply slide it in (any size from small to quite wide) and, hey presto, the lid is off with very little effort on my part. Recommended for all kitchens as it takes up no room in a drawer and is one of the handiest items you will ever purchase. If you remember to take it with you when you move house (I forgot my other one...) you need never buy another. Dr Ruth Armstrong.

The shower stool has been a god-send. Hubby snapped his Achilles tendon and the stool was brilliant in the shower, and wherever we went for the next eight weeks, it came with us..great value as well. I'd score it 20 out of 5 !! Rosanna Cook.

The 45 degree angle of the grab rail made it perfect to fit to the frame of an external door, near the handle. A straight tube looked like it might hinder closure or be too tight a squeeze to the handle itself. In most spaces a straight tube should suffice, but in confined areas, to ensure adequate space for fingers & palm to grip, hopefully this will do the trick. I found it well made & looks durable. I was and still am very pleased with the Wooden Bed/Chair Raisers. I have purchased them again because when I first had them they did exactly what I needed them for, and as it arose that i needed some more I had no hesitation in purchasing again from Essential Aids. They have been placed under my sofa legs and a single bed to enable my disabled grandson to visit and to stay over night, without them it was almost impossible.

Following a hip replacement, or for anyone with problems in bending to ankle level, this sock and stocking aid is exactly what is described - an essential aid. Simple design, easy to use, it is exceptional value for such a low price. I would rate this as one of the two most vital aids to help you through the recovery period, particularly if you don't have a partner who can help you dress.

My wife is very pleased with the Stick 'n' Stay Mobility Handle and uses it every day. She could not use the bath to wash her hair and shower without it.
