Essential Aids

I placed my order with Essential Aids on the 9th June. At the time of order I had a couple of queries which where answered quickly and efficiently. The order process was easy and the chair was rapidly dispatched. My wife who the chair was for and myself are very happy with the chair which is easy to manoeuvre and position in our walk in shower. The only criticism I would make is that the removable arms can be difficult to reinsert, if removed, otherwise we are extremely pleased with the chair and its finish.

Garden Kneeler - 4 - good, thought the kneeler bit could have been a bit thicker for the price, hope it lasts. But overall everything is fine.

Most of the items were really useful. Will give you 4 out of 5.

I am happy with the product, I already have a similar one and your service was very good. My only criticism would be that the shipping charge was rather large, particular since the item was very light.

Four and a half out of five. Nicely made mug and very practical with large handles for easy holding. The lid is tightly fitting so there is no leakage. The spout works well. The only problem is that when you need to tilt the mug more (towards the end of the drink), it gets a bit difficult with the domed lid, so we found we needed to remove the lid for the last few sips.

Rating 4 out of 5 - comfort factor good but could be just a bit larger.

The Flex Pop Range of Motion Knee Brace Small is proving very useful. It's well made and easy to get it fastened. I do find altering the angle quite fiddly. I have seen a brace that has a knob to turn on each side, the knob then detach when the angle is set, I'd love one of those. However, the flex pop is very good.

The Sock Aid works very well, but I did not find any instructions with it so had to work out what to do - not difficult though.

The items I purchased (Good Grips Cutlery) were for my father who is suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome. Using ordinary cutlery was proving to be very frustrating for him. The Good Grip range has enabled him to overcome (though not fully) some of the problems he was having, so as far as he is concerned, they must be viewed as successful. They were delivered promptly too, so, many thanks.

Kitchen spread board with spikes - the spikes hold the vegetables really well.easy to use.

Easy grip vegetable knife- easy to use. Would have preferred a sharp blade rather than partly serrated.

I received my strollator bag quite quickly. Sturdy.

The Axilla crutches that I purchased arrived very quickly and were reasonably priced, I'm very satisfied overall with the transaction and would score them 4 out of 5 (nothing's perfect right).

I purchased the product for my mother who just celebrated her 100th birthday. The wheelchair pillow is great for supporting her now her posture has deteriorated. It works very well.

I've found the lotion applicator really, really useful. In fact I put the emollient on a few of the rollers on the outside of the applicator (loading up the inside reservoir didn't seem to work well. It's great that I can now put emollient on the parts of my back that I couldn't before! I can now go swimming again and still moisturise my back afterwards - essential with my eczema. Many thanks. 4 out of 5 from me.

The contour shower seat was very easy to assemble and fits within our standard sized shower cubicle. I think it's actually better than the one it was replacing, it's sturdier, and the handles are useful. Very good value for money. I'd give it 4.5 out of 5. As usual, the delivery was prompt.

Simple straightforward process and a light but strong and effective product (small zimmer frame).

I give this product 4/5. Reason? It was not long enough. We use it to stop plates sliding off our two knee-trays, and it needed another foot or two. Otherwise, it works fine.

The Economy Over Chair Table is well built, stable and attractive. It's castors make it highly manoeuvrable. But that also means you have to take care to ensure it will fit under whatever chair you intend to use it with. The minimum table height may not be low enough for some situations so should also be checked. Rating 4. R Starkey.

I have been very pleased with my aids for putting on socks/tights. I'm waiting for a hip replacement and have been finding it increasingly difficult to put on socks/tights. It's much easier now. My rating would be 4 out of 5.
